EPISODE: 29

Title: Goodbye for Now

Ladies and gentlemen, Political Dad here, wrapping up for the year, and let me tell you, I've been sitting back and looking at the state of our world lately, and my friends, I'm worried.

Jingle

You know, when I started this journey into the world of podcasting, it was with a mission – to shed some light on the current events, to make some sense out of the political mayhem. But, folks, it feels like we're living in a world fueled by anger. I've always said that politics can be a dirty game, but it's becoming clearer each day that the playground has gotten even muddier.

Remember when I talked about the DC elite? Those people who start their political careers with empty pockets but then, somehow, they come out swimming in cash? Well, my friends, it seems to be truer than ever. We're talking about folks who put their own interests above the people they're supposed to serve. It's enough to make you think, "Hey, maybe I should jump into politics too!" (laughter)

But in all seriousness, these past 6 months have been a rollercoaster for yours truly. Many of you know about my two-decade run working alongside Rush Limbaugh. And let me tell you, folks, that background brought a storm of both love and hate my way. On one side, there's this incredible support that's kept me going – the kind words, the encouragement. But, on the other side, there's been this barrage of negativity, just because of my association with Rush.

It's made me ponder, really. Are we getting through? Is our message being heard? Or are we just another voice in the wind?

You know, America is a beautiful place, the land of the free, the home of the brave, the greatest nation on Earth. But sometimes, we need to take a step back and remember what makes life truly meaningful. It's not about constantly being in the eye of the political storm. It's about enjoying the simple moments – the laughter, the love, the family.

That's why, my friends, I've decided to hit the pause button on Political Dad for a while. Not forever, just for a bit. It's time for me to unplug from the constant noise and negativity, to embrace life with my family and kids, and to find joy in the little things again.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not leaving you high and dry. The podcasts will still be up, the social media will still be active, but this daily grind? It needs a break.

So, thank you. Thank you for tuning in, for being part of this journey. We'll still be around, just taking a breather, recharging, and getting ready for the next chapter. Remember, life's too short – let's all take a moment to appreciate the good things.

This is Political Dad, signing off for the year. Stay strong, America!
